Set 3 Week 1 : Mara, Lord of Illusions

This tall and powerful demon is Mara, Lord of Illusions, mighty among dreamers. He is capable of creating intricately detailed illusions, so real that they are almost as deadly as the creatures they impersonate.

The Species, Background, and God choices are all mandatory. You must be worshipping one of the gods listed above before entering Lair, Orcish Mines, the Vaults or Depths, unless this isn't possible in which case you must worship them as soon as you can. Don't use faded altars (except in challenges where you can choose any god), and don't do anything to lose your religion unless otherwise specified.

NOTE: Except for Beogh, Ignis, Jiyva and Lugonu, an altar for the other gods will ALWAYS show up by D:10.

Special Rule or Notes

Cosplay conduct points

1. Weapons

Don't use any short blades, two-handed weapons, or ranged weapons except nets and stones. Using and training unarmed combat is allowed.

2. Armour

Wear light body armour (ER 4 or lower). Monstrous Demonspawn and those with the "sturdy frame" innate mutation can wear body armour with ER 10 or lower. All must avoid casting Spider/Ice/Hydra/Statue/Storm/Dragon form. Any shield is allowed.

3. Magic

Learn at least one of: Spellforged Servitor; Summon Horrible Things or Haunt, castable at 10% fail or less.

Conducts are worth +5 points each, to a maximum of half your score from milestones, rounded down. (So if you achieve 4 milestones (20 points) you can earn up to 10 points from conduct bonuses.) Small mistakes in following conducts will usually be forgiven.

Bonus challenges

1. Use Your Illusion

Use a phantom mirror on Antaeus, then kill Antaeus before the duplicate expires. You must also see the duplicate at some point after Antaeus has been killed. (In case you use fog, etc.) If done correctly, Cocytus will still have an automatic annotation that Antaeus is present, even though you killed him. (Please no one fix/report this bug yet!)

2. The Wheel of Empire

Reach Depths:4 before you enter a rune branch. Banishment doesn't count, but don't get the Abyssal rune, and leave when you can.

Bonus challenges are worth one star each, similar to banners in Crawl tournaments. Small mistakes will usually be forgiven.

Milestones

• Reach XL3.
• Enter Lair, Orc, or Depths.
• Reach the bottom of Dungeon, Lair, or Orc.
• Collect your first rune.
• Find the entrance to Zot. (Just using magic mapping doesn't count.)
• Collect your third rune.
• Win the game.

The main way to score points. +5 points each, and can be done in any order.
